Ever After High Wiki

The 'Signature - Royals' doll line is one half of the entire 'Signature' series, the other part comprising the 'Signature - Rebels' doll line. Together, they are the first doll series of the franchise and the one that features the characters in non-themed, day-to-day outfits. The 'Signature - Royals' line was launched Mid 2013 and the original characters featured are Apple White and Briar Beauty, both of whom were released in Early July, 2013. The Royal-Rebel 2-pack featuring Ashlynn Ella and Hunter Huntsman was released in Early October, while Blondie Lockes hit stores in Late November as the final 2013 doll of the series. 2014 kicked off with Dexter Charming Mid May, followed swiftly by another Royal-Rebel 2-pack, this one containing Holly O'Hair and Poppy O'Hair, which was released Late May. Lizzie closed the 2014 lineup in Late July and Duchess started off 2015 in Early January, with Faybelle Thorn and Bunny Blanc afterwards in Early-to-Mid May. Alistair Wonderland had been released in Mid-to-Late May. Justine Dancer and Farrah Goodfairy were both released in Mid October. Meeshell Mermaid was released in Early May, 2016.

The 'Signature - Royals' line is officially nameless, but referred to as 'Signature' or 'Basic' by the fans. In order to stay consistent with the Monster High Wiki, the Ever After High Wiki favors the 'Signature' designation. The Ever After High Wiki also opts to consider the encompassing 'Signature' series split between 'Signature - Royals' and 'Signature - Rebels' as per the assortment setup. In the shopping section of the Ever After High website, the signature dolls are sorted into the collection called "Originals."

Each 'Signature - Royals' doll comes with a diary, the character's profile, and an in-package quote.

The 'Signature - Royals' series does not have specific fiction to support, as the dolls represent the characters in their default fashion. Nearly every piece of fiction to feature the characters has them wearing (or can be assumed to have them wearing) their 'Signature - Royals' fashion.

  • Lizzie Hearts' 'Signature - Royals' doll was originally announced for December of 2013 and her profile on the website, the release of which precedes a doll release, has an odd history of first being uploaded in English exclusively to the Spanish portion of it before being uploaded in the other versions nearly a month later. It thus appears there were several communication errors or last-minute changes regarding Lizzie's release date.
  • In Late 2014, problems occurred in the manufacturing process of the 'Signature' dolls, which is why no new dolls joined the lineup between July 2014 and Early 2015.
  • Only six characters have had an update on their face sculpts. Namely Apple White, Briar Beauty, Ashlynn Ella, Blondie Lockes, Holly O'Hair and Justine Dancer.
