| Male narrator: | Where following their true hearts is the only thing on students' minds. |
| Female narrator: | Royals with Royals, and Rebels with Rebels. |
| Male narrator: | Well, it may not be as straightforward as that. Look at Hunter and Ashlynn! |
| Ashlynn Ella: | [She giggles as Hunter builds a table and perfect date spot out of wood.] |
| Male students: | [Apple enters.] It's Apple!
Hey, Apple! Oh, hey. |
| Duchess holds her hand out in expecting that boys would court her too. | |
| Goat kid: | Hi. |
| Raven tries being nice to schoolmates however they pick up and dart out. Raven slumps in her seat. | |
| Female students: | Oh! Run, everyone! |
| Dexter tries offering Raven roses, which Cupid mistakes for hers. Cupid holds her hands out in acceptance but notices that they aren't for her. | |
| Lizzie Hearts: | [Lizzie walks past Dexter and cuts off the flower heads.] Off with their buds! |
| Female narrator: | It seems that hearts and destinies don't always move in the same direction. |
| In the library, Cupid is doodling in her book and fantasizing over Dexter. | |
| C.A. Cupid: | Cupid and Dexter Charming. [Sigh.] Cupie, and Dexie! |
| Step-librarian: | [Clears throat.] |
| Dexter Charming: | [Dexter enters with a pile of books which he drops on the table.] Hey, Cupid! Anyone sitting here? |
| C.A. Cupid: | Yes...I mean, no! No one is sitting there, and yes, you should sit there. [Cupid points to the chair.] |
| Dexter Charming: | Thanks! [Dexter flinches.] |
| Step-librarians: | Shh! Quiet in the library! [Slams desk.] |
| C.A. Cupid: | [Whispers.] The evil step-librarians are so wicked! |
| Dexter Charming: | Yeah! Last week, they made me re-catalog the entire Forbidden Books section. |
| Step-librarians: | Shhhh! [They eye the two students.] |
| Dexter Charming: | Well, look what I found. [He holds out a book.] |
| C.A. Cupid: | [Gasp.] The History of True Hearts Day? Thanks, Dex! You are such a sweet— |
| Step-librarians: | [They stand next to them and slam the ruler on the table.] Shhhh! |
| In his office, the Headmaster is playing with pony figurines, a podium and a figure of himself. | |
| Milton Grimm: | And so, each time a fairytale is told— |
| C.A. Cupid: | Headmaster! [She loudly slams the library book on his desk as he panics to pack his toys away.] |
| Milton Grimm: | My dear, I am writing my speech for— |
| C.A. Cupid: | Love never waits! |
| Milton Grimm: | What are you going on about? |
| C.A. Cupid: | True Hearts Day! |
| Milton Grimm: | Where— [He clears his throat.] —did you find that? [He tries grabbing the book but Cupid takes it first.] |
| C.A. Cupid: | [She flips through the pages.] It tells all about this totally hexcellent holiday that encourages everyone to follow their true heart's desire. But it hasn't been spellebrated in years. |
| Milton Grimm | And never will be, again. [Cupid gasps.] That holiday is dangerous! |
| C.A. Cupid: | But...but— |
| Milton Grimm: | Some students might see it as a sign to break from their destinies! |
| Cupid is reading a few lines off the book. | |
| C.A. Cupid: | Maybe True Hearts Day is— |
| Milton Grimm: | [Clears throat.] You are not to talk about this to anyone. Do you understand me? |
| C.A. Cupid: | Yes, sir. I won't say a thing. [She lowers her head.] |
| In the Charmitorium as a meetup place with Briar, Cupid decides to spread the word on the secret holiday. She starts by pointing at the book. | |
| Briar Beauty: | True Hearts Day? I don't get it. |
| C.A. Cupid: | Oh. [Gasp.] Charades! |
| Cupid holds out her fingers for the word count and starts doing various actions, the first part being the introduction to the holiday and the Headmaster Grimm's opinion and how she wants the holiday to be celebrated in secret anyway. | |
| Briar Beauty: | Forty-eight words. A holiday that used to be spellebrated in the fairytale world that encourages us to follow our true heart's desire, but Headmaster Grimm doesn't want anyone to know about it, but you think we should spellebrate it anyway and throw a secret underground True Hearts Day dance? [Cupid sits next to Briar.] Why didn't you just say that? |
| C.A. Cupid: | 'Cause, Headmaster Grimm told me not to say anything! |
| Briar Beauty: | Secret dance...What if Grimm catches us? |
| C.A. Cupid: | He won't! Come on. It'll be happily ever awesome! |
| Briar Beauty: | I do throw the most hexcellent parties... |
| C.A. Cupid: | Yay! [Briar says "Shh!".] We're having a secret True Hearts Day dance! [Echoing.] |
| Step-librarians: | Shh! |
| Briar Beauty | [She keeps her voice low and holds onto Cupid's arm and leads her out.] Um, you might not wanna shout that. You know, being a secret and all. |
| In the woods, animals are being startled as Sparrow enters the scene with a blaring guitar and voice. | |
| Sparrow Hood: | [Singing.] SPARROW!!! HE'S THE HOTTEST GUY, OH, IN THE FAIRYTALE-- [Duchess snatches on his guitar and pulls him out of the open.] Whoa! |
| Duchess Swan: | Stop that! Come on, they went this way. [She tugs onto his arm and they walk together.] I'm finally gonna get some proof! |
| Sparrow Hood: | Why do you even care? [He shoves her off his arm.] |
| Duchess Swan: | I care cause it's not fair! Ashlynn is breaking the Royal rules with her secret romance, but she still gets a Happily Ever After and I don't! |
| Sparrow Hood: | So you got a plan? [He points to Duchess.] I mean, it's not like we're just gonna find them in some romantic mo-- [Duchess pulls open a thin vine wall and coincidentally, she finds Ashlynn and Hunter there.] ment. |
| Ashlynn Ella: | [Hunter fires an arrow at flowers atop of a tree. A flower crown falls out of it and Ashlynn lets out a giggle.] |
| Going unnoticed, Duchess and Sparrow swim in the lake and plan to catch the couple in surprise. | |
| Duchess Swan: | [Before transforming back into human, she shakes off water on her leg and takes out her phone.] Say cheese! |
| Hunter Huntsman: | Ah, curses. |
| Ashlynn Ella: | Oh, hey, Duchess! Sparrow! We didn't see you! |
| Hunter Huntsman: | [Nervous laugh.] |
| Ashlynn Ella: | What's going on? [She looks around awkwardly.] |
| Sparrow Hood:
YOU TWO ARE TOTALLY BUSTED!!! [Duchess flinches at the sound of Sparrow's blaring guitar.] | |
| Duchess Swan: | Ashlynn, Hunter, I think the real question is [She dances over to them.] what are you two doing here? [Duchess interrogatively appears behind Ashlynn.] Having a secret romantic rendezvous? [She hooks her arms around the couple.] |
| Hunter Huntsman: | We gotta find a better place to picnic... |
| Ashlynn Ella: | Please...you two can't tell anyone Hunter and I are secretly dating! |
| Duchess Swan: | Um, yeah! Wow, well, I'm gonna! [She points to her phone.] Ash, this is gonna knock you down the Royal rankings. [She sarcastically pouts.] But don't worry, I'll take your place and your Happily Ever After. [She threateningly points to Ashlynn and walks away.] |
| Sparrow Hood: | Bummer, PRINCESS TO BE!!! AH-WHOA-WHOA-- |
| Duchess, Hunter, and Ashlynn: | [They stand together and point to him.] STOP THAT!!! |
| Back at school, Cupid's MirrorCast show is streaming live and she gets a first comer. | |
| C.A. Cupid: | Now, my love tale-friends, this is the part of the MirrorCast where I try to solve your romantic problems. So, Fragile-In-Fairyland, what's in your heart? |
| Dexter Charming: | Um, well, I, I... |
| C.A. Cupid: | [Noticing the broadcaster's eyes in the pixelated screen, she recognizes Dexter's eyes.] Dex! |
| Dexter Charming: | I kind of, uh...no, I do, I do have a crush on this girl named Raven. |
| C.A. Cupid: | Raven Queen? You have a crush on Raven Queen? |
| Students: | [All gasp.] |
| Dexter Charming: | Uh, I mean, Rachel! Rachel, yeah, I like a girl named Rachel. |
| C.A. Cupid: | Uh, okay, Rachel. [Cupid expresses her disappointment in her voice.] So, you like her. What's the problem? |
| Dexter Charming: | Well, whenever I'm around her I get really, uh, tongue-tied. |
| C.A. Cupid: | Huh. Okay. [She finds the doodle of Dexter on her desk.] Look, how about putting down your feelings on parchment? |
| Dexter Charming: | That is a great idea! I'll write her a love po...em, uh. [Students turn around and gasp.] Thanks, Cupid, you're the best, bye. [He runs off.] |
| C.A. Cupid: | No problem. [Sigh.] |
| Ashlynn is in her store and she finds the flower crown Hunter gave her earlier. She sighs lightly. | |
| Male student: | It's Apple White! |
| Apple White: | [Apple walks inside the store and sits down next to Ashlynn.] True Hearts Day! Aren't you just totally hexcited? It used to be such an important holiday on the Royal calendar. Ah, love, finding our predetermined princes... |
| Ashlynn Ella: | Um, sure, yeah... |
| Apple White: | [She puts her hand on Ashlynn's shoulder.] Oh, sweetie, what's wrong? You can tell me. I mean, we are friends forever after. |
| Ashlynn Ella: | I'm not sure you'd understand. |
| Apple White: | What? Is it boy trouble? |
| Ashlynn Ella: | [She perks up and backs away.] Oh, wow! Hey, I am thirsty. Um, I'm gonna go get us a couple hocus lattes! Double foam, extra apple caramel, right? [She sheepishly runs out.] |
| Troll girl: | Eh, you work here? I want these in a size seventy-four. [She wiggles her toes.] |
| Apple White: | Oh. |
| Male narrator: | And so, Dexter finished his true heart's poem for Raven. Now, he just had to wait for a response. |
| Raven Queen: | [She uses her magic to pick up the note.] What's this? I-It's a love poem. |
| Madeline Hatter: | Ooh, a secret note! Is there anything more hat-tastic? |
| Raven Queen: | But, who's it from? [Reading.] 'D. Charming'? |
| Daring Charming: | A ha ha ha ha ha! [Raven and Maddie turn around as he winks and flashes a smile to them.] Ladies. |
| Raven Queen: | Daring? I had no idea he felt this way. |
| Daring Charming: | 'Sup, brother? [He ruffles Dexter's hair.] |
| Dexter Charming: | Oh, gort. |
| Male narrator: | Love is very... |
| Female narrator: | Complicated. |
| Male narrator: | Yes, complicated! |
| Raven and Maddie walk off together as they reread the poem. |
